ABOUT US

Our Journey

Mahanandi Goshala was founded in 2020 by Lakshmi, driven by her childhood love for cattle and a deep desire to provide them a safe haven. What started as a small initiative with 10 cows soon became a larger responsibility when 164 cows were rescued and brought to our goshala. Despite challenges like space, resources, and financial constraints, the goshala continued to flourish with the unwavering support of the founder’s family and well-wishers.

Our Mission

  • Rescue and rehabilitate abandoned and stray cows.
  • Provide proper nourishment, medical care, and a safe environment.
  • Promote cow protection and sustainable living through awareness.
  • Seek community participation in this divine cause.

Our Challenges

  • Land Lease Expiry: The goshala currently operates on a leased 2-acre land, and the lease expires soon.
  • Daily Maintenance Costs: Fodder, medicines, shelter, and staff wages require constant funding.
  • Lack of Government Support: We rely purely on donations and community aid.

Your support can make a difference!
